Frequently Asked Questions
What is the correct tire pressure for my vehicle?
Depending on the vehicle and the size of the tires, the answer to this question may vary. If you look on the inside of your driver side front door, you should be able to see a manufacturer printed label with the recommended specifications for both tire sizes and operating pressure.
Why is my steering wheel wobbling or pulling?
A wobble in your steering wheel may be a result of one of two issues. 1) Your tires may need to be balanced. Usually common on larger or custom wheels, an unbalanced tire may begin to wobble, especially at highway speeds. 2) A wobble at slower speeds or pull in one direction may indicate a separated tire which will need to be replaced.
how often should i rotate my tires?
As a general rule of thumb, it is recommended that you rotate your tires every 5,000-7,500 miles. However this can depend on several different factors such as the tires your vehicle uses, the drivetrain of the vehicle, as well as driving habits. For vehicle specifications, check your owners manual for further information.
How do i know if i need new tires?
If you notice your tires are starting to show signs of age and weathering through cracks and low tread depth, these are generally solid indicators that you may need new tires. Other factors that may indicate the need for new tires include: wobbling, bulges in the tire, exposed chords, and multiple repairs. Although these signs and symptoms don’t necessarily indicate the need for new tires, it may be worth consulting with a tire professional.
My tire light is on, but none of my tires are losing air?
Your tires communicate with your vehicle’s computer system using TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) sensors which can trigger a tire warning light on your dash if the tire is not inflated to the vehicle recommended operating pressure. However, if your tire is not losing air this is an indication of a faulty TPMS sensor.
